About Me

When I photographed these sites, I had you in mind.  You may find both focus and chaos in each image—how you decipher it is what makes it truly your own.  These photographs are not intended as decoration, but as inspiration.  My hope is that they will stir something within you to explore a new direction with excitement rather than fear—whether you physically journey thousands of miles or simply travel there in the recesses of your mind.

My Current Journey

I knew my role and how to keep my head down, but playing the part can drain a man’s soul.  I could hear it through the drone of complacency and the what-more-is-there-ness from my friends and colleagues.  I could see it in the hapless face in my own mirror.

What more was there, really?  Soul-searchign in circles?  A career change?  A vacation?  Or resigning myself to the misery.

No—I needed an answer for the voice within me.  “Something pragmatic,”  I pleaded with myself, but there was nothing pragmatic about journeying the world to pursue my passion of travel photography with nothing more than a few suitcases in arm and some pinpoints dotting the map.

I saved.  I made a plan.  I boarded a plane wondering what I’d find when I stepped off the other side, wondering who I’d find there inside me, wondering which fear was greater—going back or moving forward.

The answer to these questions and perhaps some of yours can be glimpsed in my photography, they can be heard over a beer, or they can be experienced first-hand through your own eyes and travels, stamped with a meaning that will be all your own.

I’d like to invite you to take a journey with me—a journey that may help you steer your own direction more clearly.

You’ll experience pieces of the world that perhaps you’ve never seen.  A single image may light a flame inside you.  Regardless of what you find, I promise you will not be worse for the wear.  I want to share my experiences with you and invite you to join me, ask questions, offer suggestions, and share your dreams.

I look forward to hearing from you!
