History Hiker’s Weekly Drink: Olde Trip

Olde Trip

This week’s drink is Olde Trip.  I paid a visit to the oldest pub in England, Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem (this is disputed by several other pubs in Nottingham).  When I first walked in, I was immediately hit with a heavy atmosphere and unique smell.  It was clear the place was old.  Very old.  The pub can be dated back to 1189 A.D.  Wow!

The beer was fantastic and I had to have several pints of Olde Trip to ensure I could walk through the caverns and drink in each room.  I give this  beer a rating of 8.  Enjoy!
