History Hiker’s Weekly Drink: The Mojito

The above concoction is the legendary mojito.  It’s a drink born out of Cuba and it consists of five ingredients:  white rum, sugar, lime juice, sparkling water, and mint.  The mojito was a favorite drink of author Ernest Hemingway (Great American Writers and Their Cocktails).  If Hemingway enjoyed this drink, so should the entire planet.  I really enjoy sipping on a few of these bad boys after a long day.

Happy Friday, everyone!  Salud!
